My hair on sides are fizzzzzzy and can t fix it. I am trying to grow it out. The back is good and half way done my back.

I transitioned to gray last year. I have been coloring my hair for years and finally decided at 48 to allow my gray to come in. I absolutely loved it. Then i got bored recently and did a big chop and dyed my hair a vibrant violet😅. I will eventually go back to my gray. But mijes was not as uniform and mostly in the front half of my hair. 🤗

I had a relaxer when i was young and then in 2012 my mom wanted to big chop and I decided to chop mine off with her. I've thought about relaxing it again because I would enjoy it and I've been wanting to straighten my hair more often without having to do assss much. I'm not concerned because I'm willing to do the management and I actually cut my hair oooooff in 2019 (I'm talking a fade because I wanted to get those cute dyed waves but my barber sucked and he cut me too low) and it's grown back incredibly. Def in a "hair grows back, enjoy it while I can" kind of mentality.

I KINDLY ASK THAT YOU TAKE THE TIME TO READ MY VERY LONG COMMENT IN THE HOPE THAT YOU WILL UNDERSTAND A LITTLE OF WHAT A PERSON WITH DEEP DEPRESSION CAN GO THROUGH DAILY. HOW MUCH IT TAKES TO DO THE THINGS MOST PEOPLE FIND EAY TO DO AND FIND IT A NO BIG DEAL 'KIND OF THING'. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ASK THAT YOU GIVE ME A 'LIKE' NOT BECAUSE I WANT PROPS, I'M NOT A BLOGGER. I ASK FOR THE 'LIKE' FROM PEOPLE WHO SUFFER FROM DEPRESSION LIKE ME. Secondly, I want to talk to my fellow depressed people out there. Notice I said, fellow. I suffer from deep depression and have done for many years now. I struggle to pick myself up every day, but I get up. I have days where I can't get myself washed and dressed and remain in my night clothes. I have days where I cry all day. I have days where I'm bad-tempered and moody. I have days where I'm hyper and laugh a lot for no reason, but because I haven't for a long time. I have days where I'm extremely intelligent and articulate, get all my finances sorted and am very organised,. I have days where I'm creative and want to style my home a certain way. I have days where I don't clean my house for months. I have days where my bathroom is a horrific mess, and then suddenly I clean it to a pristine condition. I have days when I get washed and dressed and put make-up on and socialize with my friends (they know about my mental illness and are kind and very caring and understanding) as a regular person would go out. There are days when I have bad thoughts about my life, but in those moments God is always with me holding my hand, and telling me to hold on to it real tight; to trust him, cause he's got me and that this moment will pass. Part of my mental illness means I spend a lot on things I do not need or on things I do need, but when it arrives I don't use it because I have no motivation to open the package. Over the years, I have bought some amazing, natural hair oils and made some amazing hair growth products; all have been incredible! One day, I chose to cut off my 30" locks. I then tried to maintain my now very, short hair; I mean bald as in no hair on top and on the sides at all! but I don't know what happened, but my hair started to fall out. I later found out the cause was my medication. This is when I discovered RUclips hair bloggers and influencers who showed us how to make DIY hair growth products. I was hooked! My new habit became buying every brand of natural oils to be used alongside natural seeds like black seed (Nigella Sativa) Fenugreek seeds, Flaxseeds, you name it. I also bought every herb I could think of: Rosemary, Thyme, Basil, Mint, Lavender, Sage, Sorell (Hibicus) even Amla seeds and real fruit. I bought saucepans to heat my Ayurvedic oils and equipment too! I even bought a hair steamer, Heat cap and special combes and brushes as recommended, they have all just sat there. On one of my good days, I made a Flackseed oil. That had been sitting on top of my kitchen cupboard for over a year! I forgot all about it! It now had the quality of a fine, mature wine and, was in pristine condition. I washed my hair nicely and used it. Not only did it have an extremely high gloss, but it worked brilliantly on my hair! I was inspired by the results so continued to use the Flaxseed oil. I then also started to make my other hair oil recipes. My hair, at present (2024), is now 5" long and counting. But sadly, my depression showed up again, so although my hair badly wants to continue to grow, I have, once again, lost my motivation and enthusiasm. Again, I am not combing or washing it. It's dry to the bone and starting to break. All I can do is finger detangle it and retwist it, then tuck up or Bantu knot it. I do this to prevent my ends from breaking and my strands from matting; and to buy me time till I can get my motivation back. Remember, when things get tough, ask God to hold your hand. You are his child and if you need him to hold your hand to make you feel safe and strong, then will. THANK YOU FOR READING THIS IF YOU TOOK THE TIME.

Great video , I experienced similar breakage & hair loss from various contributing factors from thyroid disease ( graves) fibroid issue etc it was quite devastating. I have always been able to cut and grow hair really fast but now it a big difference. I’m more comfortable wearing it pretty low
